The End

The slavery finally came to an end! Poor Oskar he was not welcomed anywhere after that because he worked for Germany during the war. Oskar and Emilie moved on a farm where they worked as caretakers. Oskar planned out plans to get rich but they didn't work. He also continued to cheat on his wife. Eventually, Oskar went to Frankfurt, Germany, leaving Emilie be hide. They were never divorced but they never lived together again. By the 1960s their marriage was effectively over. In 1974 Oskar dies in Germany. Emilie however continues to live in Argentina.

One Camp for Many Lives

He was originally going to move his factory in a slave camp but then he realized he didn't want to relocate his factory. He thought if Jews were to be kept in work camps, why not his? He bought land behind the factory for his camp. He rounded up supporters in the German government. He argued and argued that his workers were kept to far away from his factory and that he had built a camp right be hide the factory. He stated that he would pay for the camp and they didn't have to pay any. Compared to Plaszow, Oskar's camp was paradise. There was much more to eat, there was no killing, and they worked more hour than Plaszow but they had much easier work. Oskar had made a safer camp.

In love?

Oskar went with his father one day to Alt Moletein in Moravia to sell electric motors. There Oskar fell in love immediately with a beautiful young girl named Emilie Pelzl. Emilie also fell in love with Oskar. They planned to get married but Oskar's seemed to be against them marrying. They married anyway on March 6th, 1928, near Zwittau. Emilie said that they were deeply in love. In those days,it was common for the father of the bride to give a dowry. the money was supposed to help them start a life but according to Emilie Oskar spent the dowry (100,000 Czech crowns, a lot of money in the days back then) on a car and parties. Not so long after that Oskar started cheating on Emilie and Emilie didn't like this but she accepted this. Emilie said he acted more like a big kid then a grown man.

Growing up!

Oskar Schindler was born on April 28th, 1908. Oskar grew up in Moravia, they shared the customs and language of Germany. When he was a young man, he loved driving nice cars and going to parties.  Also, as a teenager, he raced motorcycles against professional drivers, he was awesome at racing. Soon in the 1920s, all of Europe was in depression.

Meet Oskar Schindler!

Oskar Schindler was a man who outsmarted Hitler by saving Jews. Oskar's past revolved around many things such as what he did or what he was as a teen/early adult years. He drank way to much and cheated on his wife. Many things described Oskar as a young teen/early years in life. Yet, Oskar showed the world that he had the courage and kindness to save many lives. Although Oskar may seem bad, he saved many lives during a time of need. Oskar is a "Righteous Gentile" as the Jews he saved had said.
