The slavery finally came to an end! Poor Oskar he was not welcomed anywhere after that because he worked for Germany during the war. Oskar and Emilie moved on a farm where they worked as caretakers. Oskar planned out plans to get rich but they didn't work. He also continued to cheat on his wife. Eventually, Oskar went to Frankfurt, Germany, leaving Emilie be hide. They were never divorced but they never lived together again. By the 1960s their marriage was effectively over. In 1974 Oskar dies in Germany. Emilie however continues to live in Argentina.
