Oskar went with his father one day to Alt Moletein in Moravia to sell electric motors. There Oskar fell in love immediately with a beautiful young girl named Emilie Pelzl. Emilie also fell in love with Oskar. They planned to get married but Oskar's seemed to be against them marrying. They married anyway on March 6th, 1928, near Zwittau. Emilie said that they were deeply in love. In those days,it was common for the father of the bride to give a dowry. the money was supposed to help them start a life but according to Emilie Oskar spent the dowry (100,000 Czech crowns, a lot of money in the days back then) on a car and parties. Not so long after that Oskar started cheating on Emilie and Emilie didn't like this but she accepted this. Emilie said he acted more like a big kid then a grown man.
